Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.

Please give whatever you can to help us.

With three different games in the pack, you wont have to play the same one over and over either. So grab your water pool tower, trampoline and your bolt launching machine and defend your castle.

The Saviour of Ethra
We're now witnessing to a revived interest towards the universe of The Dark Eye, or Das Schwarze Auge, as it was originally named in German. It is nothing else than the most succesful role-playing game in Germany, first released in 1984. Lately we've seen the release of Drakensang: The Dark Eye and its prequel The River of Time, as well as the announcement of The Dark Eye: Demonicon, all based on this popular universe.

The fantasy lands of Aventuria (Arkania) are waiting for you, full of dangerous creatures (ogres, goblins, orks, trolls...), various human races and a rich medieval setting. An older series of games that takes place in this exquisite world is Realms of Arkania. The series is now sold on GOG, but that doesn't stop us from sharing the extras. Thanks to BostonGeorge a new set of boxshots is available for your hungry eyes.

My Empire Gone?! Reload Game!
While not as addictive and complex as Civilization, Empire: Wargame of the Century should provide a few hours of fun. Your goal is one of conquest: annihilate your opponents and take over their cities. This is a game with a history stretching as far as the 70s, but its golden age was when it was released for IBM PCs between 1984 and 1987.

This turn-based strategy classic was throughly reviewed by our proficient wargamer dkw. The archive and the manual are available thanks to Dewfire's efforts.

Congratulations Spanish Team!
If all these flags tell you something, then you're anticipating some big Spanish headline coming up next. And you're right: what I'm about to tell you has never been done before on Abandonia. A milestone so great that leaves us all in awe - the Spanish translation team has managed to translate all of the original English reviews into their native language.

A lot of time was invested in order to translate 1285 pages, and in this regard I want to say special thanks to Poker_Crow (263 translations) and Darkos (43 translations) for being the ones that actually carried this project until completion. The team was very active in the past as well, and at that time an enormous amount of work was done by Scarface (713 translations). Of course nobody is forgotten, but there is so little space, and so many contributors... I can just say a big "Thank you!" to all of you who participated in this venture, sacrificing your own time and patience.

It's popcorn time!
Turn your mobile phone off, sit back, relax and watch a movie. In fact, why not watch over one hundred of them! Some of you may not be aware of Abandonia's very own youtube channel, which has around 120 videos of gameplay and intro's from games hosted right here. Looking for some hints, wondering if a game is your kind of style or just wanting to sit back and revel in some nostalgia? Well look no further! None of this would be possible without the tireless work of TotalAnarchy and DarthHelmet86 so give them both a round of applause, they truly deserve a pixel Oscar!

The Last Defense
Looking to cause mayhem? In that case Rampage is always a good option. But if you want more variety, then you got to try breaching a village or two with your favourite monster in Aaargh!. Thanks to Geezer you can now download the disk images.

To make this update with more impact, the same great contributor thought you were missing a lot by playing the disk version of Alone in the Dark, so he supplied the CD version, which is under the main download now. Unfortunately this is another ripped version, but you can enjoy the sound effects and the narrator voice overs.

The ripped music tracks were included in the archive, but they're compressed into MP3, and as such can be played only in a Media Player. Check the notes at the bottom of the review for instructions on how to run the game without problems. The disk version can be downloaded from the extras section now.

Rocks keep falling on my head.
Rockford was the hero of the game Boulder Dash and he returns in Rockford - The Arcade Game to once again collect items and hopefully not have rocks fall on his head. What makes this game different is it has five different worlds for Rockford to collect items on, themed worlds in fact. These worlds range from out of space to inside a body and add a lot of variety to what is otherwise a simple game. Well worth a look if you liked Boulder Dash, sadly this game is still being sold in a collection of other games from its publisher so we can't offer the game for download. Many thanks to arete for the review and screenshots.

Even though we can't offer the game today we can offer something else to do with it, thats right we have Box Shots and the Manual thanks to Luchsen.

In the depths no one can hear you!
Deep under the waters surface you glide silently, hunting for ships and other submarines unaware of your presence. Or maybe you are blockading a port, sinking any ship that dares enter. In other words we finally have Silent Service on the site, the games sequal already is so give that one a look too.

Silent Service is a game from the mind of Sid Meier and while the graphics are nothing to get excited over the game offers a lot of options about what kind of tour you and your submarine are going to hunt on. Worth a look to any warfare simulation lover or Sid Meier collector.

Many thanks to dkw for the screenshots and the review and just as many to Romano for the games archive. What are you waiting for Captain get out there and sink some ships.

Are you ready to be a member of the Family?
Are you ready to do what must be done to rise in the ranks? Ready to kill the people out to get you? However make sure you don't kill any of the innocent people out on the streets, the Mafia has a code of conduct you know. If you are a fan of the Godfather movies the update today is something you should have a look at. While it's not the best sidescroller shooter or movie to game adaptation ever made, The Godfather Dos game is still able to give the player some fun times. Though with some complex controls and gameplay it might not be for everyone.

All our thanks go to Nick02 for the game, the review and the screenshots.

The Modern Strategikon
If you seek to prove your military skills on the battlefield, you can't ignore this gem. Countless historical battles and "what if" scenarios are included in the package. The game avoids burdening you with micromanagement, and offers a more simple gameplay, compared to the hellish difficulty of the usual turn-based strategies.

An extras update this time. dkw scanned the Map Books, the Unit Information and additionaly supplied a pair of boxshots. If you master all of the challenges this game has to offer you are truly the Perfect General!
