Dear Abandonia visitors: We are a small team that runs one of the largest DOS Games websites in the world. We have only 3 members of staff, but serve 450,000 users and have outgoing costs like any other top site for example: our servers, power, rent, programs, and staff. Abandonia is something special. It is a library of old games for you to download. It is like an old gaming arcade with all the old games in their original format. Abandonia is a place where you can find great old games and have fun four hours and years. To protect our independence, we are dependent of our friends using the site. We run on donations averaging around 6 USD (5 Euro). If everyone reading this gave the price of a cup of coffee, our fundraiser would be made easier. If Abandonia is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online for another year. Please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still doing our best to keep the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.

Please give whatever you can to help us.

Numbers, animals and a rainbow
Today's addition is a small educational game. If you want to teach someone numbers and addition, try using this game instead of pen and paper.

So, learn to add by playing Learn to Add :)

Calling all mecha-freaks!
We've got a treat for you today! Geezer has provided us with an awesome scan of the BattleTech - The Cresent Hawks Revenge manual and the command reference card. This game is available on Abandonia (of course) and now you can have the full experience! The only way you could get closer to owning it would be if we accidentally dropped the manual behind the couch and you had to spend days looking for it!

So come on, time to get suited up and destroy some mecha's!

Supermassive Black Hole
Most of the times when I go the club with my friends, we end up playing snooker, because otherwise (9-ball, 8-ball) the game would turn into a mess of random shots that have the potential to get us all killed.

You're bound to lose if you do that in snooker. Besides Alex Higgins World Snooker, we already have on Abandonia Jimmy Whites Whirlwind Snooker, and thanks to Romano, today we've uploaded the manual for the latter. If you still don't know the rules, now's a good time to learn them.

Behind the frontier
Today's addition is something special. If you love 4X games, you won't go wrong with this one. From the producer of Starflight series comes Alien Legacy, a true gem with an excellent plot.

Explore and colonize the Beta Caeli system while trying to discover what happened to your predecessors. Enjoy!

Brace yourselves!
Trapped in the dark lair of Doctor Izgotcha, it's up to you to break free and find your way out! A myriad of contraptions and beasties block your path and you've only got your wits to help you make it out alive - dare you take the challenge that is Castle Ralf?

This classic text adventure will have you puzzling. But if text adventures aren't your thing, never fear! This game features a verb menu interface (similar to later graphical adventure games like those of Lucas Arts) which will help ease you into the genre if you're new to it.

A big thank you to Pczelda for providing us with this game, Saccade for the review and Paco for the screenshots.

A Dead Orc is Just Another Trophy
Become the greatest warlord in this SSG turn-based strategy. You'll meet dwarves, elves, orcs and other creatures that a complex world can offer. But don't forget, everyone's your enemy on the battlefield.

It might be hard for some people to get the hang of this game, so the least we could do is upload a manual. Big thanks to Todbog who uploaded it. Enjoy the read!

A Nightmare Comes True
What will you find beyond the walls of the mansion on 666 Blackwell Road, Loch Ness, Scotland? It's clear that the silent corridors and the mysterious pentagrams ornating the floors aren't hiding extinct dinosaurs. Every mansion hides a dark secret. Are you brave enough to venture into its hallways?

One of the first real horror games is from now on available for download on Abandonia. You've been summoned as the Uninvited. Geezer made sure to give you the full experience and uploaded a lot of extras for the game, including boxshots, the manual, the quick reference booklet and the disk images. There's no turning back now!

Awaiting Salvation
There are a lot of fantasy worlds to explore on Abandonia. Have you finished counting the grains from the sands of Anauroch desert? Do you remember every tree's place in the forests of Arkania? Then it's time for a little trip into Krynn, land of dragons and dragonlances, land of blood and magic, land of hope and despair.

More gifts from Geezer here. In Champions of Krynn's extras section you'll now find the manual, the journal and the reference card. A new epic adventure awaits you!

Stop! In the name of the law!
You have the right to remain silent, you have the right to an attorney and you also have the right to check out these awesome new extras! The wonderful Geezer has been able to provide us with both the manual and advertising for the police themed adventure, Blue Force.

This game is also available for download at Abandonia, so it's time to put on that blue uniform and go and catch those bad guys. Don't forget to check out the interview with game creator Jim Walls too!

Yellow Submarine
Wing Commander Privateer goes underwater! That's how one would best describe the newly added game, Archimedean Dynasty. Once again we find our world scarred by a nuclear disaster, but instead of taking shelter in underground vaults, humanity chose to explore the dark depths of the ocean.

You'll find a decent story here. It's a shame that due to size limits and server restrictions we had to upload a rip that cuts most of the cutscenes. Still, many thanks to Frodo for the archive, to DavianQuintaine for writing a detailed review and Paco for the screens.

That's right, we've got a special treat for you! The fantastic Kronos has provided us with boxshots for one of my personal favourites, the Sierra adventure Gold Rush!

Of course, Gold Rush is also available on site, which means it's time for you to get prospectin'!
