Dear Abandonia visitors: We are a small team that runs one of the largest DOS Games websites in the world. We have only 3 members of staff, but serve 450,000 users and have outgoing costs like any other top site for example: our servers, power, rent, programs, and staff. Abandonia is something special. It is a library of old games for you to download. It is like an old gaming arcade with all the old games in their original format. Abandonia is a place where you can find great old games and have fun four hours and years. To protect our independence, we are dependent of our friends using the site. We run on donations averaging around 6 USD (5 Euro). If everyone reading this gave the price of a cup of coffee, our fundraiser would be made easier. If Abandonia is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online for another year. Please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still doing our best to keep the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.

Please give whatever you can to help us.

How many Fairy Tales can you remember?
Can you solve this Mixed up adventure game, can you put these Tales back into order. If you think you can then go and get Mixed-Up Mother Goose and help Mother Goose and all her Fairy Tale friends find the missing parts of their fairy tales. While this game is not meant for adults, it's a young childs game after all, much enjoyment can still be found with in its gameplay. Plus do you think you remember all the fairy tales of your use, well do you?

Much thanks goes to _r.u.s.s for the game archive and DarthHelmet86 for the review and screenshots.

Get Your Fill of Adrenaline!
Indeed, Ignition is the game that can turn your boring afternoon into one of the most exciting moments, with a simple and addictive gameplay that should appeal to all types of racing fans: to the hardcore simulation masters who are in need of a break from time to time, and especially to casual players who haven't yet found a meaningful way to spend those free 30 minutes.

The game found its way on Abandonia quite a long time ago, but now we're giving more shine to our gamepage with a set of boxshots from the german release, titled Bleifuss Fun, contributed by Chris.

We have the manual, Misty Acres Plantation Map, reference card, fingerprints (oh ye olde copy protection ;) ) and disk images to help give you the fullest game experience possible. This game is available for download here on Abandonia, and as one of my personal favourite oldies, I can't recommend it enough.

So get sleuthing! But don't forget to keep your eyes and ears open, everyone has a motive and somebody has deadly intentions...

Steel Hunter
If you're in need of a platform shooter, one that you never played or heard of, then join our heroes Jean and Houn in this Korean action-packed festival of explosions. Of course you won't understand much from the story, but the gameplay is as simple as it can get: have fun shooting everything that stands in your way.

We owe it all to derboo for bringing Still Hunt from the Asian obscurity onto the worldwide stage. No matter the language, games shouldn't be forgotten. To play it you need the Copy Protection Answers which you can find in the extras section.

The Saviour of Ethra
We're now witnessing to a revived interest towards the universe of The Dark Eye, or Das Schwarze Auge, as it was originally named in German. It is nothing else than the most succesful role-playing game in Germany, first released in 1984. Lately we've seen the release of Drakensang: The Dark Eye and its prequel The River of Time, as well as the announcement of The Dark Eye: Demonicon, all based on this popular universe.

The fantasy lands of Aventuria (Arkania) are waiting for you, full of dangerous creatures (ogres, goblins, orks, trolls...), various human races and a rich medieval setting. An older series of games that takes place in this exquisite world is Realms of Arkania. The series is now sold on GOG, but that doesn't stop us from sharing the extras. Thanks to BostonGeorge a new set of boxshots is available for your hungry eyes.

My Empire Gone?! Reload Game!
While not as addictive and complex as Civilization, Empire: Wargame of the Century should provide a few hours of fun. Your goal is one of conquest: annihilate your opponents and take over their cities. This is a game with a history stretching as far as the 70s, but its golden age was when it was released for IBM PCs between 1984 and 1987.

This turn-based strategy classic was throughly reviewed by our proficient wargamer dkw. The archive and the manual are available thanks to Dewfire's efforts.

Congratulations Spanish Team!
If all these flags tell you something, then you're anticipating some big Spanish headline coming up next. And you're right: what I'm about to tell you has never been done before on Abandonia. A milestone so great that leaves us all in awe - the Spanish translation team has managed to translate all of the original English reviews into their native language.

A lot of time was invested in order to translate 1285 pages, and in this regard I want to say special thanks to Poker_Crow (263 translations) and Darkos (43 translations) for being the ones that actually carried this project until completion. The team was very active in the past as well, and at that time an enormous amount of work was done by Scarface (713 translations). Of course nobody is forgotten, but there is so little space, and so many contributors... I can just say a big "Thank you!" to all of you who participated in this venture, sacrificing your own time and patience.
