Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.

Please give whatever you can to help us.

Revenge never had such awesome music...
Thanks to Dzonis, you can now listen to the soundtrack of Legend of Kyrandia 3 - Malcolm's Revenge on Abandonia Frequency! Listen to the smooth jazz, pirate grooves, and deep tones created by composer Frank Klepacki specifically for the game. Also, thanks to the work of The Fifth Horseman, you can download the game's soundtrack via Abandonia's new, work-in-progress music site!

If listening to the music isn't enough, you can download Abandonia's special version of Legend of Kyrandia 3 - Malcolm's Revenge, which lacks music, sound, and voiceovers, or, if you're a registered user (which is free to do!), you can download the full version from Abandonia's ISO Cellar, courtesy of riccso and our master game collector Ermuli!

Home Of The Underdogs gamebook archive

Some of you may still remember the massive Abandonware site known as the Home of the Underdogs. A few of you may even recall it had a section devoted to the low-tech predecessors of interactive fiction games: the gamebooks.

After HotU disappeared from the net in 2009, some of its' fans attempted to recreate the site with its' reviews and downloads - and they did a good job, seeing how HOTUD.org and its sister sites turned out. However, the gamebook collection wasn't high priority for any of those projects and ended up missing from all of them.

Since sites that preserve classic gamebooks are few and far between, we have taken steps to make a copy of HOTU's collection available here on Abandonia, as well as fill in some of the missing volumes. The collection has been mostly online for last two years, but now it's officially complete and going public.

Thanks are due to: Sarinee (aka Underdogs) for creating this collection and scanning the books, Smiling Spectre for tracking down the scans after HOTU's end, and Arete together with TotalAnarchy for putting together the page on Abandonia.

"The Fox is back...at warp speed!"
The Xenomorph, sworn enemies of the Terran Federation, have once again engaged in an interstellar war against the Federation. This time, they have redoubled their efforts and cunning, rendering the once-mighty warp fighter Skyfox ineffective against the Xenomorph war machine. Thankfully, Federation scientists have answered this problem by creating the Skyfox II warp fighter. Armed to the teeth with weapons such as neutron disruptors, photon pulse bombs, and anti-matter mines, the Skyfox II is ready to handle a variety of missions, ranging from assualt to dogfighting to escort.

Thanks to our intrepid Federation ace gumpy, you can download the incredible Skyfox II - The Cygnus Conflict right here on Abandonia! In addition, gumpy has provided the copy protection map, which is needed to play the game, and the manual, which contains everything you need to know to competently control the Skyfox II warp fighter.

Do you have B.A.L.L.S. of Steel?
Thanks to the efforts of wackypanda, you can now experience the skull-crushing, high-stakes, and surprisingly tactical action of Crush! Deluxe, which is now available for download right here on Abandonia! Build a team from a list of diverse athletes and pit them against 12 different teams in the Crush! League. To win, you must outmaneuver and outfight your opponents, turn by turn, in order to retrieve the B.A.L.L. (Bionic Augmented Lower Life form) and return it to your team's base. Are you up to the task?...

In addition to providing Crush! Deluxe, wackypanda has also provided a handy text document which contains all of the game mechanics for Crush! Deluxe and an ISO of the game's original disc. The document and - unlike most disc images - the Crush! Deluxe ISO are available in the game's Extras section on Abandonia.

"Why did my ship just nuke?..."
If you're a spaceship pilot asking yourself this question, and you're on the ground on an inhabitable planet, then you either flunked Flight School or your non-standard ship didn't come with an instruction manual. In either case, ltsajber gets cred today because he's provided Abandonia with the handy Quicksheet for Frontier - First Encounters. Now you won't accidentally hit the engine mode cycle button while you're parked on Alpha-Seti-whatever, and you can learn the oh-so-useful keyboard shortcut to eject your escape pod so you can say "Adiós, perdedores!" ("Goodbye, losers!" in Spanish) to whatever private, civil, or corporate entity may be chasing you.

Get Yo' Medieval On!
No, today's new game is not the Gauntlet clone Get Medieval! Instead, it's the medieval England RPG/Strategy mashup Conqueror - A.D. 1086, made available right here on Abandonia through the efforts of Expack2 and Ermuli. Become a knight in the vast realm of King William the Conqueror and conquer castles, meet and mingle with a variety of nobility, and gather the equipment you need to slay the evil dragon - or gain the military might you need to overthrow the king!

Unfortunately, all this awesome weighs in at a massive 221MB, which makes this game the largest Abandonia has ever hosted. Therefore, this game will take a while to download over low-end DSL and may take a very long time on 56k dial-up (up to 12 hours).

If you're a registered Abandonia user (it's free to register!) want to experience Conqueror - A.D. 1086 with CD audio and high-quality video, you can also download the game from Abandonia's ISO Cellar thanks to our master game collector Ermuli!

The 24-player-only, Abandonian-Exclusive Team Fortress 2 Private Match will be ending its sign-up period at midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Saturday, August 20th, 2011. So if you're interested in playing the world's most popular hat-obsessed FPS, then sign up now!
