Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.

Please give whatever you can to help us.

We're Back in the Dungeon
Is there a better way to start the year than playing an AD&D game? Hardly. Now you have the chance to fully enjoy an exotic campaign setting - Al-Qadim, set on the arid peninsula of Zakhara (sic!), since APFelon has uploaded his scan of the manual.

You start by being exiled from your home oasis. Your family, al-Hazrad has been accused of breaking the existing truce between them and another influential family, the Wassabs. As you venture into the unwelcoming outside world, you'll find a myriad of creatures and interesting characters, and hopefully - a way to redeem your kin.

The Kombat Tomb
Building up the anticipation towards the new Mortal Kombat game expected to hit the shelves in this spring, we've added the 18 music tracks by Dan Forden featured in the arcade versions of the original Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II.

You can now listen to over 35 minutes of mortal music exclusively on our Abandonia Frequency. SpiDoL is the man of the day, because he's the one who offered us this fatal soundtrack.

You Cheater!
Dust off your card decks, because new challengers have appeared. Play against Sonny Bonds, Larry Laffer, King Graham, Roger Wilco, Princess Rosella and many other Sierra On-Line stars in the first volume of Hoyle Official Book of Games.

Compared to the subsequent titles bearing the same name and released by the same Sierra, this compilation includes only some of the more known card games: Crazy Eights, Old Maid, Hearts, Gin Rummy, Cribbage and Klondike. Special thanks are offered to dkw, who reviewed the game and SlowCoder, who supplied the archive.

Flames of Revolution
Crisis in the Kremlin is a political simulation/strategy tasking you with saving the crumbling USSR of the late 80s, with chances to keep it well alive into the new millenium. Basically you choose the policy regarding foreign affairs, censorship, military security; you allocate money to different departments, solve crises etc.

It's one of those addictive games that are easy to understand, but harder to get right. Thanks to peyre today we've added the manual and the strategy grid. They should keep you on the right track.

A State of Mind
Naturally, one would tag the world of Ecstatica as a survival horror playground in the vein of Alone in the Dark. But frankly, it's rather hard to get scared by spheres and cylinders. Yep, despite the frightening setting, everything is colorful and made of curved forms.

You take the role of a lonely traveller, who, seeking shelter from the freezing touch of the night, arrived in the secluded village of Tirich. But soon you realise something is wrong. Everything is still and quiet as the grave... Something sinister is lurking in the shadows.

Faithful to the old horror traditions, the game features an invicible werewolf much like in the first Transylvania game. Ermuli uploaded a nice set of Ecstatica extras, and that's what we're sharing with you today: the manual, addendum and some really great boxshots.

La Belle Lucie
Well, the new year always starts pretty slow. Might as well upload the other Sierra Hoyle games. Compared to the first title in the series, Volume 2 of Hoyle Official Book of Games includes a wide range of solitaire card games. There are many rules to remember here - for exactly 28 games.

If you want to practice before playing the real thing - this is your chance. The review was brought to you by dkw and SlowCoder shared his archive.

A Salute To An Abandonian Warrior
Some of you eagle eyed reto-freaks might be aware of one of our staff members Total Anarchy, whose name appears very frequently on this front page. For 2 years now Total Anarchy has helped us provide you with access to the games available on site, helped keep the Abandonian cogs greased and turning and among other things, regaled us with tales from archaeology and the mists of history.

But as his tales from history have taught us, times change, and the time has come for him to leave us to devote time to other projects. The Abandonian staff and crew would like to thank him for his invaluable work and help. We couldn't have gotten this far without him. Bon voyage and don't be a stranger Bananarchy!

Is your mind strong enough
To solve the mighty Mah Jongg game that we have just uploaded onto our site. Can you handle the action and the excitment of this ancient board game and its devious puzzles. Well to be fair it's really just matching the tiles together to remove them but is not as easy as it first seems. With the ability to add your own tileset to the game you can spend hours playing with your own tiles.

A mighty thank you to DA BOMB for giving us the archive. But an even bigger thank you to TotalAnarchy, who has just left our wonderful site recently, as this review and screenshots have been provided by his mighty self. So in honour of TotalAnarchy give this game a download and have some fun for him.

A Lost City has been found.
Today Abandonia is proud to bring you two new and great extras for the game The Lost City of Atlantis. One is a very nice map of the first level for anyone getting stuck or lost in any way. The other is a much bigger deal, it is a translated version of the German game we have on site. Sadly the real English version is very hard to come by, so a few of our members teamed up to solve this problem. With some hard work they have managed to produce a translated version just for you.

Huge thanks to Ohne Mitleid for putting in the work to work out what was needed to solve the problems in translating the game and thanks to the The Fifth Horseman for giving him the help he needed. If you are a fan of the game get out there and download the two new extras and try playing the game in a new language.

It's time to Die
And with todays update dying wont be Hard. We all know that most games made from movies suck, however some slip through that are actually good. This is one of those games. Filled with small shots from the movie and giving the same feel to the player as the movie did to the viewer...are you ready for this....are you. For those who haven't guessed today we bring you Die Hard, a pretty good third person shooter that follows the movies story pretty well. Filled with action and adventure, but don't hang around, there is a timer till the Plaza explodes.

Big thanks, again, to Ohne Mitleid for reviewing, screenshotting and giving us a cracked version of this game. Without it getting past the elevators would have been hard. What are you waiting for, get out there and save Nakatomi Plaza from Hans.
