Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.

Deeds of Yore

One morning in 1987 computer game fanatic David Grigsby lost his car, girlfriend, and job. Later that day, to console his sorrow, he purchased a cheap adventure game called "Deeds of Yore" at his local software retailer. Later at home, while loading up his new game, an unfortunate mishap involving tequilla caused a malifunction in his Commodore 64 and David was literaly sucked into the game. Now a citizen of the Land of Yore, David must find his way in this strange somtimes frustrating 8 bit world.

This is how the new sitcom, Deeds of Yore begins - this time what we're presenting to you isn't a videogame, but a show about them! If you enjoy ancient videogames, such as Ultima, or simply like shows featuring witty, and sarcastic humour (and tons of videogame references), then you shouldn't miss the adventures of David Grigsby in the Land of Yore!

Weekly Countdown!

Remember that Deeds of Yore is going to continue on 1 July? Well, if you didn't, then we'll make it sure you do, because now we start a countdown until the show returns.

In the meantime, why don't you occupy yourself and read the creator's blog?

We're curious to see what David's story is coming down to as well, but we're also sure it's worth waiting!

Seek peacefully, you will find
Abandonia's birthday is just around the corner, and I've decided to join the staff team yet again for a great anniversary party. However, we still have a couple of days left until the 21st of June. Is there a better way to spend them than adding lots of games and documents? Of course not!

First in line is a game that has been gathering dust for quite a while on Abandonia's shelves: Secrets of the Pyramids... A bit hard to get running if you're new, but worth the trouble if you're into educational games or seek to study the history of edutainment. It also has the big plus of exploring the fascinating Egyptian civilization.

There's decent music and illustrations to be found here. I'd give it a go just for the hell of it if I were you. Many thanks to Ozzie for the archive and the review.

Who is Keyser Soze?
It's rumored that a guy named Keyser Soze is working behind the scenes to make all games abandoned and forgotten. So far everyone that caught wind of his schemes has turned up dead sooner or later. There is only one person left who can challenge him now. It's you! Yes, you!

Help Abandonia preserve the gaming artifacts of the old. We accept anything related to abandoned games: archives, reviews, screens, manuals, box scans etc. Contribute and we may still find who Keyser Soze really is.

The Journey, the Battle, the Myth
In this emerging digital era, it's important that we remember how games were once packaged and marketed. That's why Abandonia strives to preserve all the documents and physical data that came with the respective software. Today we bring you some new extras from our hard-working contributors.

First up are some box scans for Claw, in which you take the role of feline swashbuckling pirate captain Claw, Surveyor of the Seven Seas, Conqueror of Platforms. The review also says you can organise 64-player multiplayer deathmatches. Now there's an idea! Thanks Chris for the treasure chest.

We got ourselves more tropheys by defeating Baron Czarny and freeing Poland in Twilight 2000, a title based on the pen and paper RPG with the same name. Specifically, there is now a map of after-WWIII Poland awaiting to be explored, scanned by eclipsesplice, and a set of boxshots from Ermuli.

But wait, there's more! Game wizard Ermuli has also provided the manual and boxshots for Need for Speed. You should witness the incredible speed and luxurious cars that gave birth to EA's star franchise. Finally, the same member promises a game of interstellar exploration, diplomacy, strategy and conquest, with a set of Ascendancy extras including the manual, technical leaflets and a lot of boxshots. Once again, thanks to all the contributors. We can't do it without you.

Cold War, Submarines and New Technologies
Remember the novel of Tom Clancy and the movie adaptation with Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin? Yep, it’s The Hunt for Red October we’re talking about and today’s addition is adaptation of the movie. We weren’t impressed in no way but have a look at it.

How much hair ya got?
Because that's how we're gonna judge your biking skills. Put your helmet on - you're going to become the most badass person on the American highways. You have only 10 days to cross half of America on your Harley in order to reach Sturgis, this year's beehive for the annual Motorcycle Rally.

Today's addition, Harley-Davidson: The Road to Sturgis is indeed a game with a unique premise. Besides riding your Harley, you can do various jobs and customize your motorcycle. Certainly something to check out for the curious fans. Special thanks to TheChosen for reviewing and supplying the game.

There is evil lurking in the London underground
The extras party has not ended yet. Fleabass666 uploaded a bunch of documents for Hare Raising Havoc, including boxshots, the copy protection wheel, the users guide and Toon Town Times. In this game inspired by Disney's 1989 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, you play as Roger Rabbit. His task is to capture Baby Herman before the time runs out.

On a more serious note Wereboar proves that he has already conquered the universe and all its alien civilizations in Stars!, using some planet-shattering box scans. Some more box shots from Ermuli claim that the Shadow Man is coming, trailing evil from the Liveside to Deadside and trying to prevent the Apocalypse, in an original way, of course.

And finally, thanks to ibmpc5160 who uploaded a set of scans and the disk image Jill of the Jungle saves some more princes.

Happy Birthday, Abandonia!!!
That's right, our lovely site has just turned thirteen and we intend to keep growing older and bigger :) We hope you had great time with us and we will do our best to keep to that way.

That said, we have a special addition for today. An excellent game from the Lemmings universe that is kind of a spin-off to the series. Some of you must have guess it by now - it's The Adventures of Lomax. We're sure you'll enjoy it. Let the fun begin :)
