Ladies and gentlemen, it's summer and we know that you must be pretty much bored (if you're not then i guess you're kind of lucky and i hate you). Well for those who aren't as lucky we prepared brand new X-COM UFO 2000 online tournament!!1111ONEoneCosinus(0).

So click this strange looking guy to the left and go check our new x-com tournament topic, prizes await:). If you don't, a huge hairy walrus is going crawl out of your bed at night and bite off your penis. Seriously.

One of the more obscure - but according to the reviewer also more humorous - games on Abandonia has just been reassessed by the staff... and stamped with the huge green mark saying [APPROVED].

Effective immediately, it's downloadable again.

Edit: if one of the first round competitors cannot be reached by their opponent for a prolonged time, a new competitor may take their place. So stay tuned and tell us if you are interested =)

It’s been a while since anyone verified them.Some things have changed, some links needed tweaking...and now it’s done.

As of yesterday, the entire X-Com series is available for purchase through Steam, including the spin-offs X-COM: Interceptor and X-COM: Enforcer. The price is $5 per game or $15 for all five together.

As such, we have removed the downloads of UFO: enemy Unknown and X-Com: Apocalypse. :(

It's been a couple months since last update. Right now we can't yet fully disclose "whats", "whys" and "whos" - suffice to say we had a few technical and organisational problems.

Those have  now been resolved for the most part, and we're back on the track. Nail down your internet connection and get ready to rock!

For this occasion, I chose to add a game that - altough not exceptional - fits the event very well (and makes for a nice "Ah'll be back" pun too).

As Abandonia is a site dedicated to bringing back to life the great computer gaming legacy of the ancient times of DOS and sometimes also early Windows games, I thought it would be apropriate to share with you this little piece of gaming history:

MrDeadly, the member who presented the Last Half of Darkness II has been kind enough to make a walkthrough for the game, so that you will not get stuck in the maze once you start playing, nor anywhere else in the game!
