Hi, i know there's a faq guide but i quite don't get it still, so that's why i made this topic.

Anyways, i'm trying to download this game: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/69...or+Heroes.html

When i try to run it or set-it-up, it says:

Please help, thanks.

Why did you find the FAQ difficult? Maybe I can improve it.

That same popup is described in the tutorials.

In this case it means you're trying to run a game for DOS directly in a x64 version of Windows.

You'd better use DOSBox, there's a variety of tutorials for it on site, I think this one's the easiest.

You can't run it directly in Windows. It's a DOS game, and 64-bit Windows versions are not compatible with those. You have to run the game in DOSBox. http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=14406

You are trying to run a 16 bits program into a 64 bits OS. Long story short: M$ thought nobody would ever want to do that in their lifetime and removed all default compatibility of 64 bit systems with 16 bits systems.

Now let's all remember when Bill Gates said that "64k bits of memory should be everything everybody will ever need!", laugh hard, point M$ about their stupidity and move on...
