I just successfully started the game.

It is version 2.01 (101615).

The first task is to select party.
Bored last time of 2 days selection now I decide to use ready party as Winter rose.
Why this?
--Because I like the name.. What an argument!! Ha ha ha

Enclosed one may see the characteristics of above party.
Your opinion is highly welcomed.
If my choice is good I immediately will start the new game.

1) Finish IWD1 first.

2) A little too much on the spellcasting side in that party if you ask me. Brute force of fighters (eg. that paladin is completly worthless with that low DEX) are much more working for starters.

Why would a paladin need higher DEX, they usually wear heavy armor anyway... Cat's Grace is a second level spells anyway

2) If your characters are being hit by Flame Strike or alike, Resist Energy is a low level spell which absorbs 30 or 40 elemental damage.

I really have just one tip for you in IWD2... read the description of everything: feats, spells, equipment and you'll get the hand of it much easier
And remember, only EVEN stats give bonuses: So have 17 STR equals having 16 STR (a +3 modifier) but having 18 equals a +4 modifier.

Why again is the Pally worthless? The full plate armor has a max DEX modifier of 1, so it only loses 1 AC. Perfectly usable still. If anything I'd be worried about low CON so not that many HP. And Luck of Heroes gives that +1 AC it lost with 10 DEX. The 14 WIS ensures it can use all 4 levels of Pally spells, and 18 CHA gives +4 universal saves, which is pretty nifty as well. And the pally is immune to diseases, can turn, smite, lay on hands and cure diseases. And if push comes to shove, the druid can barkskin them and be done with it.

Also the Paladin like all characters uses Strength on to hit rolls. So it is hardly useless at all, Dex has nothing to do with him as a brute force melee character in any way at all.
