As some of you might know, I'm not really a sportsman. My favorite sports are pool, darts, chess, air hockey etc. But I do like one sport (if you call it that) which requires some physical activity. It's called bowling. (Darn you, Fred Flintstone – you're a bad, bad influence!)
There's not much to say about this bowling game. It's nice and helps to pass the time, but you probably won't get stuck on it. The graphics are nice and the animation looks good. There are solid sounds that make you feel like you're really in a bowling alley. You can simply bowl a game or two and try to beat your personal record, or you can play against somebody (player or computer). The game offers you yet another option, and that's arcade-style bowling, in which you get one pin to knock down. You get to choose your shirt color and whether you're left- or right-handed. If you choose to play a tournament, you need three players; you can create them or load them if you created some previously.
I’d give this game a 3, which sounds nice and swell, but the game has one major downside: repetitive gameplay. But then again, you can't seriously hope for mind-boggling puzzles in a bowling game, can you? You get to bowl, so timing and precision are everything! Do you have the nerve to play this game?
