This has got nothing to do with SimTower actually.
Did you ever have Norton or Symantec programs installed? Even if you uninstall them, there is still some data and some drivers or other data (dlls) that is related to Symantec/Norton. They are very persistent.

I recommend you download Toni Arts' Easy Cleaner or CrapCleaner and do a registry cleanup (if you have no clue what I'm talking about, you'll see what I mean, when you installed that program ).

Im trying to install it on my computer running xp. Just a few days i downloaded it off this site and installed it on my win98 laptop. I've gotten this to work before on my computer before(like other old games, quake, doom, wolf3d,etc), but i cannot rember how i did it. :wallbash: Now when I try to install it it says

Cannot find file COCUME~1\(My User Name)\Desktop\Sim Tower\SETUP.EXE(or one of its components). Check to ensure the path and filename are correct and that all required libaries are available.

I've done all the compatibility modes , re-downloaded, and re-booted. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

See? He actually tells you what's wrong.
Try to re-download and choose a non-user-related folder to unpack and install the game.

I re-downloaded it, extracted it to a folder in C:, that didn't work. So i just put all of he files in C:, not in a folder, and it worked. now time to see if i can get it to run the game for me
