Don't patronize me, Astral. I don't ask for help because it inconveniences people.

You seems to have a strange way of thinking einherjar. I'm MOD of the troubleshooting section, I like to help people when I can. If you have trouble about something, just ask and we'll answer you. It will hopefully answer your question and you won't need to ramble about it on and on, I beleives it's a win-win situation...

No, Maikel. That's why I made this thread.

Edit: As far as troubleshooting goes, I don't like using the forum to troubleshoot games that I am having trouble with if they are games that are not on the site already. With FTP servers, Kosta asked me if I knew how to run an FTP program, and I told him I didn't. Since then, I've been using email for reviews.

Running the requests through either Kosta or Tom seems to me the only way to keep things organised (update the Games that need...-trhead) so people don't start on the same review. If you donwload it from FTP it'll still be there and anyone else could download it and start as well. If however the people maintaining this thread (i.e. Kosta) are up to their necks in work than things start get awkward...
As for the time it takes for a game to appear on the site: As there's only one update a day (i.e. one game per day) there could be a cue. This is imho good and will compensate for the time that there isn't this much activity. Anyway... it needs to be a bit more structured indeed. Maybe Kosta needs to pick out a few more luitenants to aid him!

"With a great site comes great responsibility" as Uncle Ben would say to Spiderman (who is of courde also a webmaster)... Pardom the lame joke

I already asked Kosta if I can be Admin/Mod, but he turned me down! :not_ok:

About FTP, I don't know why Kosta didn't give you direct link so that you can download a game directly from out server?

PS you can also download some of the games from HOTU and review them (I did this many times). k:

I really don't want to carry this thread on, but I am the girl who has a question for every game I download and I had no problem with the Smartftp program. One look once it was downloaded and it was more self explanatory than opening a game. I was scared when Wendy told me I could benefit from using it. I thought...No that sounds hard. If I did it anyone can. k:

Einherjar, you should have told him you'll try to learn how to use one...
I use only the built-in FTP client of Total Commander file manager (which I prefer over the standard Windows file manager by tenfold - something with it reminding me of Norton Commander of olde), and it's dirt simple. At first I had a little issues with setting up the connection, but once it is set, you will never have to set it all over again.
When I was going to upload the review for Castlevania, I had zero experience with FTP clients and their configuration. Not that now I am really that much smarter. But since a total m*ron like me managed to do that, you should be able to as well.
