I love my coffee, but I certainly don't feel as if I'm addicted to it. Maybe I just haven't noticed. I like my coffee quiet strong and mainly drink it in the office. I might have an odd cup at the weekends at home. :Brain:

I don't drink it really on holiday, not to the extent that I would drink it here and it doesn't bother me. Maybe just 1-2 cups over a two week holiday. So I don't think I'm affected by the addictive side to it. Maybe cause I take milk with it. I can also have a cup right before bed and it doesn't affect my sleep at all. Not that I've noticed anyway!

That is called living a "Tom" in Norway. (At least all the places I have lived).

I never go out on the town (because I hate loud noises, drunk people and mainstream music).
I don't look at naked girls, and walk out of the room if someone starts stripping (as I am not dating the person, their nudity is none of my buisness - read cheating).
I don't watch porn (see above)
I have never stolen anything in my life. (That is correct, never).
I never burst out in anger (as I really don't see the point).
I've never used a fake ID (as it is illegal).
I've never used drugs (see above).
I don't smoke (but I did smoke daily from the age of four to the age of five)*.
I don't lie (good guess, but no I don't).
I never cheat (as it spoils all the fun).
I never have one-nights stands (as I think of them as "cheating", even if I am not dating).


*Me and my brother stole the cigs from our baby-sitter.

I prefer living a "Tom," but only because I have actually witnessed the dark side that makes living a "Tom" so attractive.

Even so, I've lived mostly a "Tom."

Coffee is gross.

I hate going out, unless it involves good, intelligent conversation in a decently quiet environment. (Sometimes, I won't even go to movies unless it's late late show or matinee, because I don't like being around all the people.)

Naked girls/boys, I have seen many at parties and wished I wasn't there. It makes my skin crawl.

Same as porn. I cried the first time someone showed me porn, and haven't watched any since.

I have stolen, but it was a teenager peer pressure thing, and I felt so bad I took it back.

Anger... haha. When I get mad, I first try to "reason" with people (aka, bludgeon them with logic), and then I will leave if that doesn't work.

Fake ID? No... what's the point?

Used quite a few drugs in about a year period, experimentation, if you will. They all suck. I don't like being anything but myself. It never makes anyone better than they were to begin with, so again.... I don't see the point.

Don't lie, and people hate me for being honest.

Don't cheat, I've never needed to, and never wanted to, and never would, as doing so would only be cheating myself.

Never had a one night stand, as I think it's pointless. Also haven't cheated on a boyfriend, as it's pointless.

However, I still do smoke and drink.

Beer, and only occasionally. I hate liquor, and wine tastes kind of gross. And only in moderation, I hate being drunk.

And I want to quit smoking (haha). It's become more of a nervous habit for me.

Well, I'm like Tom now, except bursting out in anger (still doesn't happen usually, I just don't let it out), but before it wasn't like that. I used to steal, to smoke, to drink and to use drugs. Stopped all that in the end, but before it was quite a life.
Interesting though, how Tom set the defaults on which everyone tries to measure himself now.

Ok. First of all, I'm really happy this topic has been brought up. I'll try to be as much clear as possible.

I love coffee, love the taste of it, love the smell, love my set of mokas with which I make it, I'm lucky enough to live in a country where coffee is a tradition and his expertly prepared, and have a decent experience to say wether a coffee is good or not (there're different kinds of coffee, you see ).

Coffee is as much unhealthy as water is if you drink gallons of it, as sport if you overdo it, as vegetables and fruits if you eat too many of them. Moderation is the key.

Drinking a proper amount of coffee per day is good: it's an energy-providing drink, healthy for breathing, and has all the properties Six-Apes most correctly listed.

As you know, coffee isn't the only drink where caffeine is present. I may list tea, coffee, Pepsi, Coke-like drinks, chocolate and Red Bull. I think coffee is the best of the lot.
It can be helpful with his "awakening" ability as well: these 2 days I slept a total sum of 6 hours, due to hard studying for tests, some projects I had to complete in order to get paid, and overall due to my awesome time-wasting skills: coffee helped me staying awake this morning, I couldn't have been without it, annd would have probably thrown up for tireness.

I respect all peoples who don't like it, and probably like other things I do not.
I just think coffee is one of the greatest pleasures of life. :wub:

Now, let's see how much I do live a Tom:

I do drink alcohol (and I have been drunk).
I do drink coffe (because it smells good and tastes divine, and is awesome).
I go out on the town (because I like fun places, nice people and some cool background music - this music NOT being techno, house or disco).
I do look at naked girls, but it never happens someone starts stripping in a room .
I don't watch porn I overall prefer reality, and I wouldn't spend my money lending a video. Plus, it's a bit sad.
I have never stolen anything in my life. (That is correct, never. I deeply hate stealing).
I sometimes burst out in anger (I try to keep calm, but sometimes you just have to let the stress go out, else you'd explode).
I've never used a fake ID (as I've never needed it - I can go pretty much everywhere since the age of 14).
I've used drugs ( :whistle: ).
I do smoke sometimes
I lie sometimes (Mainly white lies, if the truth would make someone suffer more than necessary).
I never cheat (as it spoils all the fun).
I never have one-nights stands (I only have relationships if I mean to, if the person means something to me.).
