Then just added 2.4 and voila. Though I had to manually add the 1920x1080 to the available resolutions, but after that, worked like a charm

Not same here. My second attempt to run it under XP Pro failed again.
Note: It was started before above directions.
But i will do my best to start this gem (after Dosraider).
