There is now an update on the news link saying that Apogee is unaffected and will continue. It's only 3D Realms.

Can't say I'm surprised at all.
It's not a very good business model to bet your company's future on a game over twelve years in development with only a few screenshots to show for it. I loved Shadow Warrior and Blake Stone back in the day though.. |

The killer was really the switching of engines - I think they realised that the Quake II engine was crap (I don't blame them, it was) and the Unreal engine showed what it could do with Deus Ex. Still, I hope that Take2 decides to hire some of the original people and make them finish it. |

I'm curious about this too, because I have full version of Rise of the Triad if the site can use it.
Presume official confirmation of the company's wrapping up orders are needed before abandonware can even be considered. |

Dont get your hopes too high. Stuff like Duke Nukem 3D, Blake Stone and Rise of the Triad are still sold on GOG.

And what about Hocus Pocus? It's not on GOG.
I have full version, if AB wants it? |

I have all of their games in full version, + a bunch of other stuff. Just tell me if you need them
