how do these things happen anyway ? Esa suddenly tells "Oh, its no longer protected, guys!" ?[/b]

We've got certain agreements with them.

But after downloading, dezipping and activating a dosbox account, in DOSbox I get the message "Illegal Command SI.exe" respectively the name of the install exe. Same thing with Black gate.
What is up? Am I the only one getting this prob?

I'd be glad to help you if you told us the exact things you did in DosBox and any/all error messages it produced.
