![]() Fine then, you had a powerful Illusion map that helped out immensely.

![]() I can't really say what it was about the Quest for Glory series that really made it superior to the rest of the Sierra bunch, unless its a mix of things: humor, pacing, slight but deft characterization, good graphics, a few RPG elements thrown into the mix, and the feeling of actually accomplishing something as you progressed. Locals changed in their attitudes towards you, and you felt that you were making a difference--which is cheesy, but felt good.

Never did beat it though. It was too hard at the time. |

![]() I really liked Shivers. You had to go around with these little containers catching demons. It had great sound, the puzzles weren't horribly frustrating and the graphics were very detailed. Its a great all around game, not much replay value though.
I think there was a Shivers 2, but I never played it. |

![]() Space Quest gets my vote because of the humor, and the narration by Gary Owens in SQ4 and SQ6. Kings Quest would be second... I played and loved all of the Sierra adventure games as a kid. The ones with parser typing helped me learn to spell.

Rama is a close second for me. Very atmospheric and the music in that game in that game is incredible, too bad it's at crappy 22khz mono. Oh, while the game is 3 discs, only 2 are required, the 3rd is just extras, interviews with Arthur C Clarke, etc. |
