Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

One of LucasArts' earliest (and finest) adventure games, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade came out 1989.

The Last Crusade has some fiendish puzzles, and a plot that will take you from New York, to Venice, Germany and the Middle East. There is also an interesting action and strategy element to the game too - you occasionally have to fight with German officers, in arcade fashion. As I mentioned, there is also some strategy involved - there are one or two areas where you must be careful to avoid armed guards. All of this adds variety to what would be a fairly linear adventure which follows the movie's plot closely.

The graphics and sound are good, especially for the time. The VGA graphics are colorful and do a pretty good job of setting the atmosphere as well as staying close to the scenes that can be seen in the movie. The sound effects are mostly Adlib beeps (this game was never made as a CD-ROM title), but the music is excellent.

This is one of the best adventure games of all time, in my opinion superior to the next Indiana Jones adventure game, the Fate of Atlantis. If you like LucasArts adventures, you owe it to yourself to give this gem a try.

BOX BLURB: (from the back of the 'Lucasarts Classic Adventures box) INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE (1989, SCUMM 3.0) Introduced dialogue puzzles and a real fighting mode. Developed simultaneously with the movie, here was our chance to create a version of the story with a different possible ending. The outcome for Dr. Jones depends entirely on you!
