Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

The Emerald of Persia
The Prince of Persia franchise has distanced itself a lot from the original concept of the 1990 classic. Both the trilogy, and the latest 2008 installment, while trying to preserve the fast-paced action and the character's slickness, they avoid some simple elements that made the game unique. This is definitely not a bad thing, as those titles attempt to keep everything fresh, otherwise the modern gamer will definitely get bored.

Still, us retro gamers crave for the "Forgotten Sands" we lost in the 90s, and it's quite obvious the newest PoP game (scheduled for summer 2010) isn't going to be exactly the thing we're looking for. Let's hope for a good game, though... The extras section has new stuff in it: the manual, uploaded by Lenor, and an image showing the Copy Protection Answers, by AzureDragon. Fireworks of PoEs for your efforts.
