Ken’s Labyrinth is a first person shooter with a similar engine to Wolf3d. The game was created by Ken Silverman (The creator of the Duke3d Build Engine) when he was 18. Ken’s Labyrinth is pretty entertaining, though it does have bad graphics.
Your goal is to find your puppy and escape the labyrinth. The game spans over three episodes. You will encounter many enemies, and cool objects like soda machines (used to buy items) and slot machines (to gamble your money). There are cool features like money, interactive objects, and listening to Ken TALK!
The graphics as previously stated are not the best. The sprites are drawn O.K. Some, though, look really weird, like the bubble gum shooter. It looked like a piece of meat to me!
The sounds are mainly Ken yelping and saying things like “Good Job!” when you beat a level. The music is really cheerful and addictive, one of the pros to Ken’s Labyrinth.
Ken’s Labyrinth is a great game for those who are bored.
Ken's Labyrinth will run great with anything over 10000 cycles.
If you are going to use the Sound Blaster sounds, which the on-site version is set up to use by default, make sure you run KENSBFIX instead of KEN, otherwise it will slow your computer/DOSBox to a halt.
Dear Abandonia visitors: We are a small team that runs one of the largest DOS Games websites in the world. We have only 3 members of staff, but serve 450,000 users and have outgoing costs like any other top site for example: our servers, power, rent, programs, and staff. Abandonia is something special. It is a library of old games for you to download. It is like an old gaming arcade with all the old games in their original format. Abandonia is a place where you can find great old games and have fun four hours and years. To protect our independence, we are dependent of our friends using the site. We run on donations averaging around 6 USD (5 Euro). If everyone reading this gave the price of a cup of coffee, our fundraiser would be made easier. If Abandonia is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online for another year. Please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.
