B.A.T. received so much acclaim, it was only natural that a sequel would be made. The makers kept all the qualities of the original, while improving sound, graphics and story.
Speaking of the story: On the planet Shedishan, certain companies are trying to gain a monopoly on some badly needed raw materials. The B.A.T. organization has sent an undercover agent to investigate. While carrying out these investigations, she has come under attack, and her life is in danger, so it’s time for you to go into action.
You can edit your character or choose to play as the default agent.
Your first assignment is to find the original B.A.T. agent, as she will be your contact. You’ll find her alone in a hotel room, on the bed, waiting for you. She’ll send you on your first mission and give you a pass needed for the job.
You still have all the little screens that appear within the big one, and as in most 2D point-and-click games, your cursor will change whenever you can interact with something.
To go to different parts of the city you need a car, but you can rent one at every VIA station. Don’t go too fast or you’ll have to pull over and pay a fine. There are game parlors where you can ‘earn’ more money, or you can attack and steal from people - but you’ll be thrown into jail if caught and lose precious time! Make sure to check your status; the B.O.B. on your hand will show when you need to sleep, eat, drink.
For those who loved the original game, this one will be a real treat. And B.A.T. II is sure to win new fans because of the much-improved graphics, sound and storyline.
