Well, here you have it: the oldest game in my collection, and as I recall the first one I played in my life.
The game is very simple. You control a cat in an alley, and your task is to avoid dogs and various objects people are throwing out of windows. Also, for extra points, you have to jump into people's apartments and accomplish various "missions" such as catching a bird or chasing down mice. The graphics are CGA - enough said. Although, considering the release date, that was probably the most advanced graphic platform at the time...
A good game to remember how it all began!
A throwback to childhood... Posted on: 2015-01-07 by araxhiel For being a game that is actually older than myself (i'm an '85 model), I have a fond childhood memories about this game. It was one of the very first games that I've played on my life, and I played when I was a student from a "computer school" (that was the way how they (that kind of business) used to sell itself), I was the youngest of the alumni (9 y.o., the average was 16 y.o.) and on our break time, we used to play computer games. So it was when I 'meet' this game, among another gems like Prehistorik 2, Prince of Persia, and Another World. To be fair, it was a hard game to beat, at least for me, who hadn't played a videogame before on my life. But after a couple of tries I managed to finish the game. The 'bonus mission' where a broom was trying to kick you out was insanely hard, I was sweep (?) several times, but it was fun as hell. Today, it's still a good game to play and I hope that some day I can show this game to my son, and hopefully, he will find it as fun as I found it then... |
