Ultra Software Corporation was a subsidiary of Konami. Its primary purpose on the market was to avoid Nintendo's restrictive policy on the number of titles that one company could publish per year on its home platform NES (up to five). Among the games published under the Ultra Games label are Metal Gear and Ski or Die for NES.
