Established in 1985 in Tokyo, Japan, Game Arts produced in the first years of their existence only PC games, shifting to consoles in the 90s. Their initial creation was brought to the western market by Sierra On-Line. Thexder, Zeliard or Silpheed were recognized by many as some of the best titles at that time.

Nowadays their software is published by Namco Bandai, Square Enix, SCE, Nintendo and other japanese companies.
