Hi all, my first post here so be gentle!

I did a search on TV television and nothing came up so I hope I'm not going over old ground...

Anyone notice how games like Space Control used to look better on your old Amiga? Well I was thinking, back then we didn’t have monitors you usually plugged it into the TV. As we probably all know TV is broadcast in 640x480 so why doesn’t it look sucky? Because TVs have built in hardware anti-analising so if you have an ATi or a newish Nvida graphics card you might notice that it also has a Scart output (bah give me a good old co-ax anyday). So bish-bash-wallop and hey presto Star Control is back on the TV and looking all the better for it I must say! Unfortunately the screenshot just looks the same, unless you drag it over to the TV screen, hehe

ehm, its becouse tv screen sucs
some make horizontal lines througn screen for example
and yes tv screen make some blur, but i think its not better, at least not when you want to see really good DVD quality picture then you need to buy some LCD or plazma telly=)
but that wont "increase" your gaming graphics

oh dah, it totaly sucks for DVD or anything except for games with a maximum resolution of 640x480. However these old games which need DOSBox to run look terrible fullscreen on a 21" screen! I have better graphics on my toothbrush!

heh, I know it's just a way of getting the anti-aliasing working on your x86 emulator. For 3d graphics games you can usualy knock-up the anti-aliasing in your display properties. Some late 90's games look quite good with x8 anti-aliasing but it would have run impossibly slow on the hardware at the time.

By the way you arnt realy Russian are you? Did you ever see a hobbit computer?

Some stationary DVD players/recorders support S-Video, D-Sub and DVI inputs. Some of the more expensive TV's also do.
