I was thinking: if ESA is mad on abandonia and we can't supply their games anymore then some other site could. Those games are still abw afer all.

So, why couldn't we create another site that would exist by itself but in fact it would be run by the same people, that is us??? Kosta and Tom surely cann't be bosses of that site since i doub that ESA is that stupid, but many other guys could, like Picard, Data, Wendy, Seb (Paul, i don't wanna mention you, you're not htat type :bleh: )
So we would have the site that hosts abw games and somehow 95% of those games would be ESA's games, and we could use just two sentences for review and a single screenshot. On the abandonia, reviews are still here, we could only add the link to this new site. Nothing wrong to do right?

I was thinking about this new site's name. If we have Abandonia Reloaded in order to fullfill and go along with Abandonia, then this new site could be simply called "Reloaded"

So, am i a genius or a am i a idiot? (please don't answer this question)

Or we could focus our attention on providing quality reviews and screenshots for the whole bunch of non-ESA games that Kosta has on his todo-list. Last time I saw it, this contained over 50 games! So there's plenty of stuff to do!

You can stop the train of thought right there, pal.

Those games ain't abandoned. They never was. We just were allowed to host them for a while. Then ESA said no more.

When i read the title of this topic, i remembered "Baldrick" from the black-adder series. (please don' t be ofended  )

althow the idea is not bad, i don' t think it would work as, it wouldn' t be the same. this site is "unique".

besides, there are already other sites making these "ESA games" available, like HOTU.

Uhm... the idea is bad, because it would be warez distribution.

You need permission to host those games.

Actually, the title was inspired with that exactly.

I didn;t know that those games weren't abw. I thought that ESA was angry because of few games so they banned everything. And i was talking about games that we already hosted.

Well, like you said, there are many other games to do.

However, Marko has a point there. A separate site ran by some of the Abandonia's current staff would have a larger chance for gaining ESA's permission for all the titles then Abandonia would for reclaiming it. Then the site might co-op with Abandonia the way he described.

It's not like ESA will never give out back the permissions to host those games.

What we need right now is time and make sure we don't annoy them again. In a year or so we might consider asking the permission back.

Perhaps, but at any rate it's probably NOT a good idea to discuss "cunning plans" like this one. I suggest moving this thread someplace else.
