Urban Assault is a 1998 game from Microsoft. I believe its one of my favorite oldies during that time, because of the game play. The graphics at the time best suited that game, and for quite a while it had its memories, though it wasn't big because it was not distributed greatly. This was sort of a simulation/rts which was very interesting because not only you command the battle, you drive the vehicles too. The game is very stratigic, and it should be abandoned right now and discontinued, though this was my only source for it is at the place called the Underdogs. But I already own the game and if your out there looking for some 1998 games, This one can best suit you if you like the rts/simulation games in a combined mix.

I rated this game 9/10 for one of my favorite microsoft games back then. This is my review on the game. The game has an immense world to play in, with destroyable enviroment...building and the maps are divided by big squares called sectors. There is a nice single player campaign and to follow it, a extermely good multiplayer for such a game. In the multiplayer you get to actually choose from all the races which is very nice to explore even on your own. The game engine is overly good and i prefer this to most Gamers.

if you want a older pre 1999 game that is no longer supported or sold in any great places. Email the company and ask that it be made available as freeware.

You probably wont get far as an individual but if more of us do it we might have some success or change a few mindsets as always those games that are still activley being published by game companies should be protected from being freeware and abandonware but seriously if the game is old has been replaced by a newer successor sequal title and the company activley doesnt promote it (1602 AD as an example) email the company and ask then to publicly realise it.

Not if our name isn't used.

You can mail companies as much as you want, just don't use the name Abandonia.

alright, but emailing big publishing companies hardly ever solves problems, it just creates them.
