Got this great looking game up and running with DosBox and created a new character.

A message then came up informing me that a game was already running and I would have to do something with the character.

I carried on and then seemed to be well into a game but with no sign of my character and not a clue what to do.

Never tried any of this series before.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You should run install.exe I think, or vinstall.exe, there's an option to delete currently active character which will enable you to create a new character correctly.

Thanks for the reply but at what stage in the proceedings should I attempt to "install.exe" or maybe even "vinstall.exe" in order to make the current character disappear?

Well what I meant is, you run vinstall.exe, delete the current character, start the game, generate a new character and begin playing
