Amber .... that's long ago, memories memories ... eurhhhh, nevermind that.
To run Amber in XP (IF that's what you're on) : FORGET IT.Won't, as in NOT. (AFAIK ....) Reason: Amber needs QT32 (Quicktime32), that should be included in the ISO (I have the original). And QT32 and XP don't like eachother. Period. However, Amber runs fine in VPC2004 or VPC2007 with W98SE. Don't forget to install the additions after setting up a VPC-W98. (Menu 'action' update or install additions, will mount an ISO and do what's needed). The additions gives good SB-Graphics support in VPC-W98. To run Amber you also MUST install QT32 in your VPC-W98. How Amber runs in VPC-W98? PERFECT. Can it also work in VPC-W95? Yes, but W95 is a sucker in VPC, the graph/SB support isn't as good as in VPC-W98. And you can get trubbles with 'shared' folders, network connection ... and so on. W95 was always a sucker anyway. My 2cents.
