Hell no. I can already barely handle Youtube restrictions, let alone that my whole internet browsing would suddenly get limits and such.

That's the last thing I need, having internet restrictions. Which corporate @$$hole came up with this idea?

Sources?
Nice of you to alert us Tulac, but as a person who works closely with all forms of media, I can tell you, this is not enough information to go on. Their website, sights no sources and gives nothing to back up their claims.
Probably is true, since a similar attachment to a bill in US Congress, attempted to instill similar restrictions on American internet providers and users. It failed miserably. Anyways, need more to go on. Legitimate wire service articles? AP, GNS, BBC, etc. I can't believe it without at least an official press release. |

I saw a topic somewhere which had more legit links, like some eu parliament sites and stuff like that, so I'll try to find it.
EDIT: This is what I've found, seems legit to me. http://www.iptegrity.com/pdf/telecom....june.2008.pdf http://www.laquadrature.net/en http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=73537262931 The facebook group is probably the most concise of these links. I also read about this some time ago on a local blog which is written by a telecom insider so I think it's all legit, but it's probably hasn't caught the attention of mainstream media because a) it's kind of complicated and b) nobody gives a crap Last edited by Tulac; 21-04-2009 at 08:15 PM. |

This seems to be the "in" thing to do at the moment. In Germany they are currently trying to pass a Law that allows them to censor the net (i heard this would actually require a change of the constitution), and afaik there are also plans for Australia?
I agree with TheChosen (remember me? ) Youtube restrictions already go too far. Sadly i do not know what everyone desiring something like this not being put into action could truly do against internet-censorship becoming reality. Last edited by U-Boat Commander David; 22-04-2009 at 01:08 AM. |

As if the people could affect it, unless we break the fucking havok on them. If in any case internet get's restricted, I'll quit my internet provider contract and get something real to do. Big deal, internet is dead anyway.

There's nothing exciting about internet anymore. Most things you do is pay your bills, shop online and browse some tired forums repeating theirselves with some "what are you listening" threads and whatnot.
