I have downloaded this game and got it running, but my only problem is that I don't have a joystick, and the game seems to require one for the 1st player to play. The second player works with the keyboard, but I can't get the 1st player to move at all, keyboard or mouse. And... I don't have a joystick! Does anyone know if there is any way to fix this??

Hey.

Late response, I know, but I thought I might help. I was facing the same problem, but it's actually no problem at all. You are probably running the caveman.exe file which is wrong. Try start.com (for normal playing) or cavetrn.com (for playing with cheats). it should be working fine now.

Dont work. Password needed for caveman.exe.
Start and cavetrn just dont do nothing when executed.

I tested it out with Dosbox 0.72:

Error: Can't open CAVEMAN.DAT

with Caveman.exe, Cacetrn.com and Start.com

did you unzip all the files into some directory first? O_o as you can see you don't have caveman.dat file, do you see it in the game directory? try redownload
or is the archive corrupted?

edit: ooh nevermind, i tried and you need to uncheck property "read only"

i unzipped all in a folder. I have Caveman.dat,which is 2534 KB, in the Folder.

redownladed and the same results.

how smart. -.- One more Games to repacks again.

I download the game and i extart it to a folder, and it doesnt have tick on "read only" and i dont know how to open it, when i click on start.com or cavtrn or anything its make nothing... i have dosbox and i dont know how to open it... plzzzz help!!!!
