![]() btw, is there a way to save your characters to a disk or smth. similar in DosBox? Since there are no multiple saves in the game, I'd hate to create my party from scratch again if they die, I've been rolling for like a day now

![]() You can manually copy the save file elsewhere.

![]() I did that (given that Roster.dta is the character file).
Game isn't that hard to play though, not when you're familiar with the Might & Magic series. I'm playing with the standard classes now, though I have a feeling that Knight/Robber/Cleric/Cleric/Sorcerer/Sorcerer might be more effective. Reasons: - A lot of spells even at higher levels only cost spell points, not gems - Spells are cheap. A 5th level Sorcerer spell for example that deals 5-50 points of acid damage to all monsters only costs 5 spell points. My level 1 sorcerer with 19 Intellect already has 8 spell points - Clerics have better armor than either Robbers OR Archers, with chain mail + shield. They have just as many hit points as Robbers (1-8), and only very slightly fewer than Paladins and Archers (1-10) - Only the first two characters are involved in melee combat (usually). So actually Knight/Knight/Robber/Cleric/Sorcerer/Sorcerer might be good too. Knights seem to rule over every other class in melee because only they seem to get multiple attacks Now I think my K/R/C/C/S/S party would do pretty well. But some things in this game could make it hard for magic users: - lots of squares where magic doesn't work. I've already seen some in the maze under Sorpigal, and there are certainly more in the game, though I don't know how many really - lots of places where you can't rest at all or where you have to fight a lot of consecutive battles before you can rest - lots of monsters that are resistant/immune to magic or elemental damage. I know a lot of monsters in the later MM games had high magic resistances It would be good if someone who has played through the game could give some insight here |

![]() Ty, Paco.
I started the game but after 1 hours I left and Delete. Sorry, I do not like these type of games. I played MM4 and it is nice. But MM1 is abc. bad game ( This is my point of view - I do not want to harm anyone or initiate a discussion. Merci). Will try MM2 and next. Pls excuse me. MM3-5 is my Favorite and i didn't like Part 6-9. You played MM4 alone? then you should play World of Xeen which is put together from MM4 and MM5.

![]() Yes, Paco,
Clouds of Xeen is my favorite game. I played this game minimum 7 times. But because I played a hacked version I was unable to kill Lord Xeen even armed with the special sword, Y'know found in the Castle underground in the laboratory... Then I started The World of Xeen - sadly it was same wrong version. So know I am resting for a while keeping power for my last and hope final struggle with the Lord and the next The World of. I would like to thank you for the info that MM 6-9 is not so nice.. You save my future attempts. Have a good time. yoga, who will kill this nasty Lord anyway.. he he PS: What about MM2? Is it good? Or like MM1? |

Even i dont like MM 6-9 (because i'm more of a Retrogamer then someone who only play the newest Game that are on the Markt), that dont mean you will dislike it too. It is just my personal feeling. I didnt play MM 2 so i cant tell if its bad or good.
