hi everyone! I SHALL be making a translation of this site to RUSSIAN, and there's nothing you can do to stop me LOL (in fact I was kind of hoping someone would help me: translating 120 reviews and an interface isn't a pack of peanuts, you know!):help:
there's a thread here: http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4270 in which all of the progress will be published.

I think the translation into Russian should have prioreties over Latin (for the flag we could use the flag of Vatican - they still have latin as the official language)...

If you really want to start translating into Russian I guess you can start with just about any review - I think nothing has been translated yet. Just make sure you contact Kosta first (he's the owner of this site). He'll be happy to hear the news.
After you make around 80-90 translations your translated site will be put up along with the flag.
I know Partizanka is also Russian, but she's only been here for a few days and went away... Maybe she'd help also.
There are quite a few people who would be able to read (and more or less) understand Russian, but unfortunately they don't know the language well enough to help with the translations.
But trust me, as soon as you start translating you'll see it's not so hard (and you don't have to do it all the time).

I had already talked to Kosta. The prequisite today is 120 reviews (because we have ~=450 games on this site, not 300 ). The translation is indeed not hard but, how sould I put this, boring. However I'm still determined to do this.

As I have said before, I will welcome help from anyone who decides to suply it. please contact me, or post in the thread (better do both).

The current one has a ratio of 1:1 so it wouldn't fit to the others.

I have a feeling that Latin page wouldn't be visited a lot, now Esperanto is another thing...

...an Esperanto page is not useful because Abandonia is an international/multilingual page and there are not many people learning Esperanto (to read Anbandonian reviews). People who are able to read Esperanto mostly are also able to read English. Latin also is not very useful but funny and when German translations are done and I'm bored I maybe start with it.

Well there really would be no sence in translating to either, but I'd prefer a Latin translation to Esperanto.
It's simply - Latin was the language of European scolars for centuries and it would show a certain level of suffistication if the site was translated into Latin.
Esperanto (as much as I like the idea of it) is very impractical. It has no native speakers, so everybody who speaks Esperanto also speaks at least one other language (that other language should be the target language).

Maybe I'll help you out a bit with Latin (imagine two top translators going at it...).
