Open the game directory.
Select all files and right-click on one of the selected files.
Select [PROPERTIES] from the menu.
There you can change the read-only attribute.

I finally sat down and finished this one, I've actually wanted to ever since I read the review in an old 1994 PC Gamer (this mag also had a review of System Shock, man I wish I'd kept it).

Anyway, what a great atmospheric and different adventure. The gore and themes would have been quite shocking back then, when everyone was kicking up a stink about such games as Mortal Kombat. The soundtrack is awesome. A few puzzles could have been easier to solve. I found the Diary of a Madman and manual on another site.

ending spoiler

The CD version is already available in the ISO Cellar which is only accessible to members. Please do not post any links here.

Sorry. I'm still pretty new here, only been about 4 weeks...

But I heard there was 3 versions. The floppy, the CD, and the voice acting that was on a CD. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I get this from people I knew in real life, not on the internet.

There are two versions, floppy and CD, which are the same except for the voice acting and a bonus audio track included in the latter.

This game is way better than the Matrix. The atmosphere is awesome, the story is gripping, the violence is wonderful.

Awesome game.

Recorded some of the game with Dosbox and uploaded it at Gametrailers.
Go and check it out!

I just finished playing this game, and I wish to say I am very disappointed. Like people have said, the game has great atmosphere and, differently from the review, I actually think the top down vision actually helps the game, giving it a claustrophobic vibe.

Still, the story it tries to tell seems to be butchered. I can't imagine that it is in the way the developers actually wanted to release. Instead, this seems to be an unfinished game, probably released like that for monetary reasons. Specially in face of the diary that comes with it. A goddamn shame it couldn't be finished properly.
