Ummm.. that MIGHT be because we'r using more then double the power in our AEG's.
Those where made throu a jacket and t-shirt (atleast the one at the top).

Bioval is actualy a decent BB, as it decomposes in a year or so and is a good argument if you play on someone elses property. The quality is pretty good to, and i've heard of just a few that had problems with clogging. Personaly i use Blaster (from ASG) for indoor use and Bioval for outdoor.

One thing though: If you use (or anyone at all uses) a net-mask (with a steel net for eye-cover) NEVER.. and i mean N E V E R use Excel BBs as they have a nasty habbit of break on impact into many small peices and penetrates the net.
Blaster is pure singel-molded plastic that will only split into 2 or 3 peices on impact, and i've never had a clogg with them, even though my barrel is a 6.03 mm diameter (Standard TM is 6.12mm) so that is kind of a good review.

Well, at .5 Joule, I don't think the BBs would splinter, and I rarely get headshots. Which reminds me to someday get my own mask.
As for Excel BBs, my friend uses them with his M6. he's the only one I know who does so. I think he uses .25g, but I'm not sure.
I asked my friend about his M203 today, and he says it's standard 40mm.

Question: Do you do Airsoft as a real sport? How often do you play?

Well... more or less.
We have a team and we do team vs. team games that has different variations to the rounds, and we keep a score.... I do it as often as i get time for it...sometimes 3 times / week, other weeks i don't have the time at all.

I can tell you, a 7 hr CQB is ALOT more exhausting then a 7 hr outdoor event.
My role is usualy either keeping supressing fire to clear a flank or as entry-team, depending on the equipment.

The Aug is perfect for mid-range support and mid-range hit'n'run.
The g36 with the drum is something you would place one a sertain place (overlooking a corridor perhaps?) and hold it, while with a normal clip, w/o the silencer and the stock folded, a perfect entry gun, as it's short and have a fenominal RoF and will clean a room in a second.

About the excel: Doesn't realy matter, as the risk that it MIGHT happen is enough; so unless everyone uses paintball masks that seals all the way, the BB's should be banned.
If i have time tomorrow, I'll rig a test and photo the ressult.

I will ask my M6 friend about the maximum range on that thing. Usually he's far away, but I once got a chest shot when he was approx. 20 metres away. It hurt as f***. After that, we told him to either keep a minimum distance of 20 metres or to go with another weapon. Now he uses the M6 for sniper training (he wants an AUG, too) and the occasional game. Fortunately, he has a full metal AK that he can use, too.

I once got 5 paintballs straight into the side of my leg just above my right knee at close range once when the shoddy rented gun my brother's mate had went off. To be honest, I think he probably pulled the trigger once, but I doubt he meant to shoot me 5 times from that range. I almost won the best bruise contest, but there was a dude who'd been peppered in the back by my whole team as he lay on the floor. Anyways, my leg hurt like hell later, and the bruise was all purple and split open. Is that way off topic?

Sounds OnTopic to me...

Almost beats the bruises my girlfrind got... it's been 2 years, and it's still visible on the leg

How did that happen?
I doubt I'll ever go beyond .5 J. But maybe I will misteriously discover a hidden sniper talent in me.

Double Post, sorry. Topic buuuuuuump.

Had another match yesterday. One of my friends has a pretty huge garden with a little hut in the back, and his parents weren't home, so we made a pretty cool 5on5 engagement and later a 6on4 "Shotgun" match. Did I explain that game? It's pretty fun. Basically CTF, but there's the shotgun rule: At first, everyone crawls towards the target, a stationary team defending it's flag with F/A weapons. When the pointman makes contact, he shouts out "Shotgun!" and everybody has to get up and storm. Pretty fun.
Anyway, I tried out my friend's full metal AK47 when he was using his M6, and I pretty much gave them hell. But full metal might be a biiit too heavy for me. But it's realistic.

k.... my poly-carbon-phiber g36 packs a good solid 3,2 kg w/o clip. With a fully loaded C-drum it is a good bit over 4 kg's.

Metal doesn't realy mean heavier, as the plastics have to be thicker to have the same strenght.
