I don't have any weapons myself, (don't have money) but my friend has 2 swords. One long katana, and a shortsword. Sadly the katana got dull, and rusted (looks like blood stains LOL). Still good for piercing though...

- my guitar
- a curtain rod which i use as a staff
- a 12 inch steak knife that really serves no purpose except stabbing

Do you really need a lethal weapon for your protection?
I would only allow a weapon that looks like a a pistol and has the same range, but it wouldn't be lethal, it would a tranquilizer of some sort that would make the target fall asleep for a few hours, and so the police would have enough time to get there...
Misuse of this weapon would be nowhere near as lethal as real weapons...
