No I mean what is the command prompt or whatever. I ahve the police quest folder on my c:\ and then I switched dosbox over to c:\ but the command wont work... what am i missing?

I am not sure I get your question, but as far as the executables go, look for files with .bat or .exe extensions. Chances are you should run one of these in DOSBox.

i get this as well, i am running it in dos 7.1 though, not xp. perhaps my audio drivers? sound/music works fine, however no speech.

I downloaded DOSbox on the previous posters' advice to play this game..

Originally, I tried to install the game, mounting drives as A: and C: in a vain attempt to install the game as I installed others like it in the mid 90's.

Don't do that..

Just run the game after dearchiving. It will make life a lot less painful The sounds work fine without installing the game, much to my amazed disbelief.

And, as the previous posters noted, copy the .voc and .scr files from the archives in teh patches dir into the game dir (folder), and it should work fine (so they say, I'm not far enough into it to know).

Hi,my problem is,that i can't open up my locker,could you please help me? I need the combination,and it is a download,the code of the locker should be in the Manual...but I haven't got one... :help:

If you download the game from this site, it includes a file called "PQ1 VGA Codes.txt".

DO I JUST COPY AND PASTE THE FILES REQUIRED FROM THE PATCH TO SORT OUT THE BERT PROBLEM - COS I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT, HAVE COPIED IT TO THE "SCHIDHUV" APPLICATION, BUT IT DOESN'T WORK.
??
