Please write more how are you trying to run it. What commands and how have you set your DOSBox. We need that info in order to help you. (I did not have any problem running it)

ok, ill try to go step by step.....

1. I open dos-box

2. I followed the manual on the dos-box FAQ site, and open the install program of TFTD. Heres what i typed in dos-box.
mount c C:/, C:, cd oldgames, cd TFTD(this is where my extracted TFTD files are saved), INSTALL

3. After installation, theres an new folder called MPS on my C drive. I take basically the same step, and run TFTD. Heres what I typed on dos-box.
mount c C:/, C:, cd MPS, cd TFTD, TERROR.

4. I successfully run TFTD, but the game itself is extremely slow, and it takes me a minute to circle around the geoscape.

If I remember correctly, game has been already installed. Another thing is that you should have separate folder in C drive for your DOS games, and mount that folder as your C drive, not the C drive it self.

Can you tell us what are you default cycles, and how much do you change them. Is the speed the same in full screen and windowed game? And also what CPU usage is at the time you play the game.

I really don't recommend you to play with priorities. You are bound for more problems than you will solve if you do that.
