Hi, Im a newbie...I have a problem after reading the FAQ and the instructions.
I followed the FAQ on the DOSBOX homepage, and was successful in downloading, installing the game I wanted. I got the game to start on DOSBOX using those DOS commands, and I thought everything will be fine....But, when I finally got the game to work, it lagged like crazy. I used the ctrl+F12 key and the frame skip. This helped, but not enough. It still lags like crap. Im using XP and DOSBOX, Im really desparate...Some one plz help me!

Its a pentium4 1.82GHz 256MB RAM, a windows XP.

Don't push too much cycles. You should have them set around 9000 max.

works fine on my PC with 10k cycles, but the machine is a bit more powerful than yours. (faster proc, twice the RAM).

It is not just processor, but also ram. If you have too much file swaping (using virtual memory), then DOSBox will run at slower rate.

hi, I tried running X-com TFTD with only DOSBOX opened, no other window...but still doesnt make any difference. Its strange because I tried X-com UFO and this worked out fine. The monitor is a bit off, but everything else worked great. Its only Terror from the Deep...wtf is going on????

DOSBox opened - are you trying to run it trough dosbox?

I don't really understand why it doesn't work because on my end it would go too fast, not too slow... :blink:

Im trying to run it through dosbox cause I cant run it directly through the .exe files....But this isnt working either. How can this be happening??
