I guess the reason why your fighters can't hurt the giants with physical attacks is that they are low level and don't get many physical attacks per rounds (buffing might help but maybe not enough). Remember how high level your characters where when fighting giants in Darkside of Xeen.

Yes, with miserable 12-13 levels i definitely will meet problems with these stronger Giants (they are pair) and Morph V in Impery town.
