[RRS] Spellcross (?)
The game I'm looking for is a turn-based tactical strategy. The VGA (or SVGA) graphics is isometric and looks like a cross-breed of Alpha Centauri, Krush Kill and Destroy and WH40k Final Liberation, if I remember correctly. I believe the action takes place in a post-apocalyptical world. You command the good guys and have to finish some missions against mutants or raiders. There isn't any base building. I'm not sure if you could buy units between the missions or not.
The gameplay was pretty solid. I think it was a DOS based game, but it could as well be a Windows one (95+?). Oh, and the enemy has reddish units I think... User interface was at the bottom of the screen. I can't remember anything else. Can someone help me with recalling the title of this game? |

Hm... That's interesting. My memories about the game are very murky, so I'm unsure if it's Spellcross, but the terrain palette, green grass tint to be precise, looks very similar to what I remember. Also, the orcs... I thought the game took place in post-apocalyptical world with mutants, but perhaps it's because of greenskins I remembered this game to be similar to Final Liberation?
I'll have to give Spellcross a shot. But somehow I feel that's this very game. Thank you mate. Powinienem postawić Ci za to znalezisko porządny kufel zimnego piwa. |

It couldn't be Abomination because it's real-time and for Windows. Has mutants though.
Otherwise there aren't that many games matching your description. |

It's not X-Com: Apocalypse, that one has base building. Has most of the other elements though - some of the environments could be easily taken for post-apocalyptic.
Not Fallout: Tactics because duh... Windows. Not Jagged Alliance 2 because it's Windows once again. I don't think there are many options other than SpellCross. |

Your description is striking similar to Fallout and as Fifth said, it can't be Fallout, because of duh... Windows. But the earliest Win95 games used to ship as a dual version with a 16-bit .exe for DOS and another 32-bit .exe for Windows 95.
Was it the first Fallout game from the series? http://www.mobygames.com/game/window...eShotId,12649/
