also, i don't know how is ufo implemented but if it uses ddraw you can use this for the windowed mode
Thanks!

However I didn't get it to work. I've downloaded like 5 or 6 versions of it, some even supporting DX9 also two other programs of a same purpose D3DLookingGlass & D3DWindower and neither seem to work. Regarding DXWND the program itself starts up but even after setting it up for UFO executables I'm unable to launch then through it. I'm not sure if it's UFO or Windows 7 but it just don't work. I'm gonna try updating DX9, as I just reinstalled the Windows but I don't think it will change anything...

Thanks anyway!

_r.u.s.s., yes, it is Direct Draw. Yes, it is works. Thank you! But no, it cannot be reached by your link. This link works better.

It need to force set resolution, then "stretch to window" and "slow down to framerate" or else it will be broken.

kad3t, try to set DOSBox to "full" simulation, then play. As I said, I never seen your problem, but I never tried X-Com through DOSBox too... Also patches (I wrote you about it) could be useful too.

Ah, I see your answer. My version is Gold, patched. It works.

I'm back to DOSBox version as it just feels better. It's due to the gameplay in a windows and the fact it doesn't dissort the colours. I will check that link out though as if I could run the windows version the way I want it I suppose all my problems would be gone...

At the moment I kind of noticed that if I kept many saved games if one fails the earlier one is usuallt fine & it's good enough if I restared the game and loaded it. But will check your adviced link out anyway.

Thanks!
