EDIT:
Bela Lugosi didn't die during the filming. He died before that, but he was good publicity for the film. That's why he had to show up in the film. They took one of the test shootings and the narrator said "the old man left the house never to return." Bela Lugosi goes out of the house and out of the scene. Then the sqeeking of the tyres is heard and some accident noises.

I have to say, Plan 9 from Outer Space is not the worst movie and Ed Wood is certainly not the worst director.
I must say I agree with you. But he did achieve the status of the worst director. If you ask me any soap opera (and there are thousands of them) are much worse.

Thanks for the reminder - I didn't even realize it's in German (until now)...

Hello. I am a fan and collector of Ed Wood. If anyone can tell me where I can find a copy of this game, I would be eternally grateful.

Jackie, You can try and search for the game on ebay, or maybe amazon. I hope you find it, it's quite a good game!

Something always intrigued me about this game. The review at Just Adventure and The Underdogs say that in the end of the game you must edit the film, frame by frame, from the 6 reels you've found during the game. But it doesn't make sense - I played the game to the end and there was never anything like that! Also, the only (English) walkthrough that I know to exist never mentions anything even similar in the ending! The Abandonia review doesn't mention anything about it, by the way.

Here's a quote from the Underdogs review:
Quote:
The most frustrating part of the game is perhaps right near the end, after you have found all 6 reels and are now screening the film. Here, you have to examine each scene in excruciating detail, with slow motion, freeze frame, fast forward and rewind-- many, many times over until the film's original awfulness is restored.[/b]
Here's a quote from Just Adventure:
Quote:
But the most frustrating - but also most innovative – part of the game is at the very end when you must use a VCR-type machine to view actual scenes from the movie and restore them frame-by-frame. Kudos though to the developers for including such a complicated sequence in a DOS game.[/b]
It even seems that the game's box says it! Here's a quote from a page I found:
Quote:
splice and edit this cult classic using actual film footage. Extraordinary gameplay guaranteed.[/b]
Anyone played the game and had to recut the movie like all of the above quotes say? My game ended like the walkthrough, nothing ever seemed to be missing! I hope to solve this mystery one day... How could they shove the entire film into a 4 disks floppy game??

Incidentally, there's also a German walkthrough, perhaps someone can take a look at the end and see what it says?
