It was a close match... 5-6, 5-4, 4-4, 3-4, 2-4, 2-3, 2-2, 1-2, 1-1 and 1-0. To tell true gkar was to win the game in the 2-4 but him blew his own HW trooper and lost the one who tried to replace him to reaction fire. some caps: http://rapidshare.com/files/172220202/snapshot_1.png When the battle become a 1-1, gkar got the first chance to shoot, as you can see, reaction fire didnt activated, still gkar choose to move to a safer position and failed when fired his ¿grenade launcher?. http://rapidshare.com/files/172220416/snapshot_2.png After that, i try two blind shoots... no luck and then i was running away with an empty weapon. The first dead body that i made was a one of my recon that was using a laser :nuts: . But Gkar traced my movements and easily found me and shoot. The under armor took 36 damage point but the blast destroyed the laser rifle. http://rapidshare.com/files/172220725/snapshot_3.png The empty plasma sniper was left and i run for another body, this time i managed to pick up another laser rifle. When i look after last gkar´s trooper i found an empty laser launcher so i moved to the nearest body, another of mines with a plasma sniper with only one bullet left. ![]() We have done our match with the 1.086 Beta. I found out it actually is more (1%) stable than the stable candidate
But more importantly the F3 (loading) function works 100% of the times which raises the stability to 100%. If one player drops out simply wait until he reloads and presses F3. also many other bugs are fixed in the beta version. Including the replay bug. there are only a few minor changes (wich improve the game i believe) to weapons and armour stats. (like a normal knife costs 10% tp and a Combat knife something like 35% tp in the old version and in the beta both 10% which is more logical) Both players agreed to change the version to the beta btw i hope u dont mind us agreeing to play the beta v. i suggest the final is played in the Beta also, so other players can watch and enjoy the Final battle. ![]() You known that i saw you blowing your mutton... The mine that killed the sectoid was in already blew area. So even when you threw it, it was impossible to known about it. But the one of the mutton was really strange, i saw the explosion and believed that you blew the mine to pass by.
About version... the change on knifes is very important since you can open self-made doors too easily and quietly with them. It took me a while to note that. |

Actually it's less stable than the 1062 but I didn't know about the F3 option, that could save many matches I don't like the fact that it isn't completed, no music on menu and other few things. Still have to decide if we will use 1082 for our next Tournament. Waiting news from Tasoth and AlumiuN. Good luck guys |

In my opinion 1086 version is better than 1062. There is only one thing what is bad in 1086 for me - sometimes it is hard to play couple matches one after another becouse that version generates memory leaks( which may cause crash). Other things mentioned (F3, replays and others) were improved - although the gameplay is a little different than at 1062. And about music: you can always edit ini file and place paths for music there. Music on menu works fine for me Btw: Good luck for final's and 3rd place's players:thumbs: |

![]() The stability of the 1.086 version is higher. Because the there are some CRC crashes in the beta which do get registered as a CRC disc but doesn't cause the game to crash. 'bout 4 in a hunderd games so raises the stability just above the 1.062. For tournament games however the F3 and replay functions are great addition. There are more less important bugs in the 1.062 which i've encounterd wich dissapeared in the Beta. Like a unit which can't move in 1st turn, or starting on a rooftop, no alien pictures in lobby and more. argueebly only could be the inventory changes but still....
I have to agree with Intri2 that the 1.086 is better. however to keep a little in topic, would be nice to see the tournaments FINAL replay! |
