Are you using your administrator account on your PC? The admin can put a restriction on what types of files you can use if you're a member with lesser access, this includes the ability to use zip files via the zip extractor that Windows comes with.
You can use something like IzArc instead (a free extracting program that can also handle RARs and 7zips) if your access is the problem in the first place, it might seem like IzArc won't install correctly, but you can still use it easily by looking in Program Files. If you do decide to use it.

According to Google the remaining two are Nicodemus (N of Britain) and Horance (N of Jhelom). BTW, this link might be useful: http://www.btinternet.com/~lilith.ka...s/ultima6.html

Horance must be reached by boat (= island). He is crazy as a loon. Nicodemus is well hidden also and you better have your swamp boots handy.

Hi,
I have found "a" solution to this clicking noise some posters mentioned above. This was getting on my nerves some time ago, too. Now I had some time and found out that not the choice of sound (Adlib seems best) nor the soundcard on my system makes a difference. Either you set PC Speaker to 'false' or decrease (!) the sampling rate of PC Speaker to 5000 or somewhat. That's what helped me making the clicking that quiet, that I can only hear it when the music is much too loud and heard at neighborhood. Setting PC Speaker to false does also mean you hear no sound but music only. Hope that will help somebody also having this issue. |

I don't know if anyone else had this problem, I didn't find any about it, but well...
Everytime I'm in Britannia's castle and talk to the Jester who is near the kitchen the game freezes. I'm afraid it might happen with other characters. Did this happen to anyone else?

Posts 159, 163 and 166 are about the problem (imho), but as I've realized from the same person.
But anyway, what do you want to imply ;-) |
