![]() Well, I just checked the rules on the first page of the tourney thread and they seem to change all the time... I was sure it was 7 squaddies max, not it is 6...
Anyways, there is no restriction on the races you can play, thus you can use any alien race as you want. |

![]() I was playing a practice game against someone named "lemm". Unfortunatly, some kind of bug happened and we could not complete our game.
So much for the so called "stable" version... :notrust: |

![]() 1086 is actually better, it just has large memory leakage problems. It actually has a better weapon set as well

![]() Hi
I think I would like to join to the league. I'm trying to organise tournament too (through ufo2000 forum ) but it is hard to find players. If someone is interested, still can join it I have 1086 version and you haven't specified which one is OK for league - so I guess both beta and stable candidate are good:laugh: If I understood corectly, the league's ranking is based on damage inflict factor, right? It is good but it could be simplier if there would be 'number of kills' instead. |

![]() I did a quick analysis of $/armour ratios for all types of soldiers and aliens. Reasoning was stats can be modded anyway and I couldn't really see any differences between a human soldier and an alien soldier (same stats available for both).
It seems the best armours are the Ion ones (sorry I'm used to the TFTD ufopaedia), with the flying one being marginally more expensive but giving the player freedom of space. Muton/chameleon came in third with a good solid ratio. Worst: Sectoid, then Human (no armour) then Floater but then the Floater floates If anyone is interested in the actual numbers or how I did it (and critics are welcome) let me know. |

![]() League loss, against Patrone, on 8/09/2008. I really got my ass kicked on this one. Reduced my squad to 5 men with better armour after getting eliminated from the tournament, but it didn't help at all. Bad aiming & couldn't see anything on the battlefield. Man I need some lessons in warfare:amused:.
