![]() If you set the cpu cycles too high like 100000 (WOW), the emulation will become as result even much slower than it would be on, say, 4000 cycles, unless you have Pentium 6 with 10 Ghz, of course. For most of my games 11500-12000 cycles are fast enough or even too fast for some (Pentium 4 with 2.4 Ghz).
As for music, for some of the games the sound- / music-emulation that DosBox provides is not working well if at all, try VDMsound in that case, just install it and forget it, no need to configure anything after you did that during the installation.
