I still remember the day i came home and found my mother, father and sister behind a desk.
When i sqeeched myself through i saw the 386 pc.

My dad bought the game Tin Tin on the Moon for it.
I was 8 years old that day. I'm now 26.

my gaming experience started when i was 4 (1987) on the atari.

pacman and pole position are the games i remember having.

then i moved on to the nes a year or so later.

in 1989, i got my first pc. a 386 running ms-dos. don't remember the specs, but they were whatever was popular at the time.

the first pc games i remember were chessmaster 2600, and a few other ones.

The first console I had was the old Intelevision playing pong and hockey.
First PC was an old IBM XT which had a faulty Turbo mode, so I had to play my games at ultra low speed. Until I got a 286, then not long after, my precious 486DX2/66, which is in some landfill at this moment.
I kept my 486 until about four years ago when I kept getting hard drive controller failures as well as the graphics card flamming out.
I've been gaming for around 29 years. I'm 47.
Regards,
DarkMatter

Born in '81, but didn't have my own machine until 89 or so. It was a ZX Spectrum, but modified to use 3.5" DD SS disks. Buuut, I did play games before.

So that would put me at 25 years which 20 are in gaming.

As for PC using, that puts me about 17 years of PC using, when my best friend neighbour got a Commodore PC. We put many hours into 'Into The Eagle's Nest'.

My first game was on a Binatone 'thing' it had pong (tennis) and a light gun that was used to shoot a white square moving over the screen. If you know more about those two you are sad, like me. :P

I moved on to a C64 I think but it may have been the Vic20. On that machine there was a text based adventure game that offered either a £1,000,000 cash prize for the first person to solve it and send in the 'answer' or it could have been just £100,000. To me all those zeros got lost as I was rich if I had a tenner!

I am 42 now and I must have been about 7 when we got that binatone. So many machines and games have passed through my hands I care not to mention them all.

I still love games!
