Could it be Deamon Blue?

It's a platformer, the character is similar to Dizzy, but less cartoony, there are potions and stuff to pick up on the way...

Nope, definitly not this game. I downloaded it and it is nowhere close to what i am looking for. The game i am looking for you can do big, free jumps, the maps arent claustrophobic as Daemon Blue ones. Also, if there is a UI, its not like Daemon Blue one. And the enemies werent like the ones in Daemon Blue. Also, the potions i was refering to were power ups, that made you jump higher and other effects. The game was all about jumping if I remember well...

I am not good with reviews, but I'll try to write one after I start beating the game countless times as when I first started playing it :P
