Heyz, I have a little problem. I downloaded the game, so now I have the .zip file on my computer. BUT, when I try to unpack the files, he gives me an error for 4 files (HOME.SHP, PAL.PAL, HA.EXE, HACONFIG.EXE). I have windows XP.

Can somebody help me?

Thanks in advance,
JTB

Thumbs up

Can someone remind me how to play this? I think i'm cheating by using F1 & F3 to pick-up and lay traps? I think its a good idea to watch the movie again to remember how all these traps went down...

I'm using a laptop with no numpad so my controls are like this:
Movement: arrow keys
Jump: Ins (insert)
Shoot bb-gun: enter
Pick-up trap: F1
Set trap (with cheating cross-hair): F3

With the use of haconfig.exe i can change the jump & shoot buttons from Ins & Enter to Z,X or a few other combinations.. but i still cannot pick-up weapons without F1 and lay them without F3. what the hell!? :wallbash:

:tai: and what a slow progressing game.. makes you wan to pull your hair out! Home Alone 2 is much faster ..and better!

Edit: haha I found out a secret... for those of you who are having trouble. To defeat Marve & Harry by making them go into 10 traps without getting caught first.. you have to use the rope from the tree-house (like in the movie). Go to the attic (3rd floor) and there is a window in the corner. Press UP on the window just like you do to a door or stair-case, and you will be transported to the tree-house right next to the window. When in the tree-house press left all the way and you will be transported back to the front-door/porch (unfortunately there is no animation of Kevin riding the rope because that is the best part of the movie). The trick is to keep them following/looking for you but your timing must be right with the traps because they run faster than you... if you transport to the porch too quickly (for example when they are still on the 1st floor) they will know you are there and catch you in no time.

use your head to win! k:

Also: F2 - cycle traps in inventory (you can carry only three at once, IIRC)

i have an easy walkthrough, when you are stuck in moments like these. do you play piano? nope? well, if you do, imagine you dont. now, imagine you are 2 years old. (this part might be easy for some people). and that your keyboard is a piano.
now, try to play the fifth orchestral symphony by beethoven. i can assure you that you will find a solution for your problem and find any keys which you need=)

Depends what you set it to in the game's setup.
